For eye care practices

Eye care: patients stop calling to ask if their glasses are in.

I build small tools for the front desk of an eye care practice: a text at each step of a glasses order, annual exam reminders, and one review ask after pickup. It works next to your practice software, and you approve every message.

Hi Megan, this is an automatic text from Example Eye Care. Thanks for picking up your new glasses today. If you have a minute, would you leave us a quick review? [link]
Just left one. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Megan. If your frames ever slide down or pinch behind the ears, adjustments are free any time. Just stop in.

The real problem

“Are my glasses in yet?”

A patient orders glasses, then calls to check. Then calls again. Each call pulls someone away from the patient standing at the desk.

Annual exams don't book themselves. Patients who are overdue won't call you first, and the recall list waits for a slow afternoon that never comes.

Most of the extra spend is in the texting, reviews and website layer, not your practice software. Many offices pay for a phone and texting platform plus a separate reminder or review tool.

What the eye care demo shows

It's a made-up practice called Example Eye Care. Open it on your phone and tap through it the way your customer would. Nothing in it is live, so poke around.

  1. Your glasses are on the way

The patient gets a text at each step of the order, so the “are they ready yet?” calls stop. Each update is one tap for your team.

  2. Annual exam recall

Anyone due or overdue gets a friendly text with a way to book, instead of someone working down a call list.

  3. Review ask after pickup

A couple of hours after pickup, the patient gets one polite text with a link to leave a review. Everyone gets the same ask, with no filtering, which is what Google's rules require.

The monthly bills

What eye care practices often pay each month

These are tools eye care practices often pay a monthly bill for, at published or reported prices. Each price links to where it came from.

Weave at that level plus Podium Core comes to $747 a month at those prices.

What usually stays: your EHR and practice management system. What I build takes over the order status texts, exam recall, review asks and missed-call replies.

Prices are what each linked page showed when I checked on October 23, 2026. Vendors change prices, and several sources are reviews or comparison sites rather than the vendor's own page, so check your own bill. I don't list my prices here. You get one written price after the free walkthrough.

How it works

How working with me goes

Every practice is different, so I don't guess from the outside. The first look is free, and nothing gets built until you've said yes to one written price.

STEP 1

Free walkthrough

A 20-minute call, or a free 2-minute video built for your practice. You tell me what eats your time. I tell you straight if I can fix it.

STEP 2

One price, in writing

A short write-up and one price before you pay anything. No hourly meter. If I can't build it, no charge.

STEP 3

Built around what you use

Your EHR and practice management system stay. The new tool works next to them, so your front desk doesn't learn a new system.

STEP 4

You approve every message

You read and okay the wording before the tool sends anything, and you can change it any time.

STEP 5

You own it

It's yours outright. It keeps working whether or not we ever talk again.

STEP 6

Up and running

Most tools are working in 2 to 4 weeks from your yes. I'm a phone call away if something needs a change.

Remote or in person, same price. I'm based in Mason City, Iowa. If your practice is in North Iowa, I'll come sit at your desk. Anywhere else, we do it over a screen share: you see what I see, and you're talking to me the whole time, not a team you never meet.

Straight answers

Questions eye care practices ask

Does my staff have to type each update?

No. In the demo, each status update is one tap. You set the wording once.

Do we have to switch practice software?

No. Your EHR stays where it is. The tool works next to it.

Is it okay to ask every patient for a review?

Yes, as long as everyone gets the same ask. Google's rules don't allow asking only the happy ones. One polite text after pickup, then it stops.

Do you only work with eye care practices in Iowa?

No. If you're in North Iowa, I'll come to you. Everywhere else, we work over a screen share, which is how most software gets built anyway. Your zip code doesn't change the price.

What does it cost?

It depends on what your practice needs, so I don't post prices. The walkthrough is free and ends with one price in writing. A one-time tool is a one-time price, and if I can't build it, there's no charge. Texting and hosting have a small monthly bill in your own name, and I'll show you that number up front too.

Let's talk

Tell me what's eating your time.

One free call, or a free 2-minute video of what this would look like in your eye care practice. If there's nothing worth building, I'll tell you that too.
