For snow removal companies

Snow removal: no more 5 a.m. calls asking when the plow is coming.

I build small tools for snow outfits that run all night: a seasonal signup that collects everything up front, a ballpark price for the driveway, and storm texts that tell customers when you're coming. It works next to the software you already use, and you approve every message.

Automatic text from Example Snow & Ice: 4-6 in. expected overnight. Your driveway and sidewalks are on the list, and the crew starts once snow passes your 2 in. trigger.
Thanks. I have to leave by 6:30 for my shift at the hospital, any chance you can get me early?
On your phoneDeb Larsen, 418 Maple St, needs out by 6:30 AM. Deb moved to stop 3 on route 2. Tap to undo.
Done: driveway and front sidewalk at 418 Maple St cleared at 5:19 AM, salt on the steps.

The real problem

Every storm, every customer asks the same thing.

The snow starts at night. By 5 a.m. your phone is full of people asking when you'll get to their driveway. You're in the truck. Answering them means not plowing.

Before the season starts, signups come in by phone, by text and on scraps of paper: the address, the trigger depth, the gate code, where to pile the snow. Something always gets missed.

Most snow outfits also do lawn care, so they pay all year for software that does its hardest work a few months of the year, plus review tools, lead sites and answering services on top.

Try it on your phone

What the snow removal demo shows

It's a made-up company called Example Snow & Ice. Open it on your phone and tap through it the way your customer would. Nothing in it is live, so poke around.

  1. Sign up for the season

The signup arrives with the address, the trigger depth and the gate notes, any hour, while you keep working.

  2. Ballpark price for the driveway

Homeowners see a ballpark price on the spot, with the math shown, and send the request when it fits their budget.

  3. Storm night: heads-up, on the way, done

One tap sends a heads-up to every seasonal customer. When Deb texts that she needs out by 6:30, she gets moved up the route. Then she gets an on-the-way text and a done text with the finish time.

Built for a real plowing business too. I built Storm Board Pro for a local plowing business: storm dispatch and machine-hour billing that runs on the owner's phone and every driver's phone. Try the live demo of it.

The monthly bills

What snow removal companies often pay each month

These are tools snow removal companies often pay a monthly bill for, at published or reported prices. Each price links to where it came from.

Jobber Connect plus Podium Core comes to $538 a month at those prices. Paid every month of the year, that's $6,456.

What usually stays: your job software and your accounting. What I build takes over the signups, storm texts, review asks and missed-call replies.

Prices are what each linked page showed when I checked on October 23, 2026. Vendors change prices, and several sources are reviews or comparison sites rather than the vendor's own page, so check your own bill. I don't list my prices here. You get one written price after the free walkthrough.

How it works

How working with me goes

Every company is different, so I don't guess from the outside. The first look is free, and nothing gets built until you've said yes to one written price.

STEP 1

Free walkthrough

A 20-minute call, or a free 2-minute video built for your company. You tell me what eats your time. I tell you straight if I can fix it.

STEP 2

One price, in writing

A short write-up and one price before you pay anything. No hourly meter. If I can't build it, no charge.

STEP 3

Built around what you use

Your job software, accounting and phones stay. The new tool works next to them, so your drivers don't learn a new system.

STEP 4

You approve every message

You read and okay the wording before the tool sends anything, and you can change it any time.

STEP 5

You own it

It's yours outright. It keeps working whether or not we ever talk again.

STEP 6

Up and running

Most tools are working in 2 to 4 weeks from your yes. I'm a phone call away if something needs a change.

Remote or in person, same price. I'm based in Mason City, Iowa. If your company is in North Iowa, I'll come sit at your desk. Anywhere else, we do it over a screen share: you see what I see, and you're talking to me the whole time, not a team you never meet.

Straight answers

Questions snow removal companies ask

What if a customer needs out early?

They text back, and you see it on your phone with one tap to move them up the route. In the demo, Deb needs out by 6:30 a.m. and gets moved to stop 3.

Can it handle different trigger depths?

Yes. Each customer's trigger is part of their signup. In the demo, a route starts once the snow passes the trigger for the stops on it.

I do lawn care in the summer. Does that matter?

No. Many snow outfits do. The same kind of tools work in summer too: signups, reminders and follow-ups. Your job software stays either way.

Do you only work with snow removal companies in Iowa?

No. If you're in North Iowa, I'll come to you. Everywhere else, we work over a screen share, which is how most software gets built anyway. Your zip code doesn't change the price.

What does it cost?

It depends on what your company needs, so I don't post prices. The walkthrough is free and ends with one price in writing. A one-time tool is a one-time price, and if I can't build it, there's no charge. Texting and hosting have a small monthly bill in your own name, and I'll show you that number up front too.

Let's talk

Tell me what's eating your time.

One free call, or a free 2-minute video of what this would look like in your snow removal company. If there's nothing worth building, I'll tell you that too.
