For flooring, window & paint shops

Flooring, window and paint shops: stop answering “Did my floor come in yet?”

I build small tools for flooring, window and paint shops: a room-by-room ballpark before you drive out, online booking for in-home measures, and texts at each step of an order. It works next to your job software, and you approve every message.

The real problem

The order is placed. The calls start.

Once a customer orders, they want to know when it arrives, when you'll install, and who's coming. Every one of those calls pulls someone off the showroom floor or out of a job.

Before the order, you drive out to measure jobs that were never going to fit the customer's budget.

Many shops move up a plan tier for follow-ups and texting, or pay for a review platform built for businesses with many locations.

“Did it come in yet?” callsThe same question all day.
Measures that go nowhereDriving out before anyone knows the ballpark.
Plans bought for textingPaying a higher tier for follow-ups.

Try it on your phone

What the flooring demo shows

It's a made-up shop called Example Flooring & Paint. Open it on your phone and tap through it the way your customer would. Nothing in it is live, so poke around.

  1. Room-by-room flooring estimate

Customers get a ballpark price on the spot, with the math shown, and send the request when it fits their budget.

  2. Book a free in-home measure

Customers pick a service, a day and an open time on their phone, even at 10 p.m. The reminder texts schedule themselves.

  3. Flooring order status texts

The customer gets a text at each step, from ordered to arrived to install day, so the “is it ready yet?” calls stop. Each update is one tap for your team.

What usually stays: your job-management app and your phones. What I build takes over the order texts, measure booking, quote follow-ups and review asks.

Prices are what each linked page showed when I checked on October 23, 2026. Vendors change prices, and several sources are reviews or comparison sites rather than the vendor's own page, so check your own bill. I don't list my prices here. You get one written price after the free walkthrough.

How it works

How working with me goes

Every shop is different, so I don't guess from the outside. The first look is free, and nothing gets built until you've said yes to one written price.

STEP 1

Free walkthrough

A 20-minute call, or a free 2-minute video built for your shop. You tell me what eats your time. I tell you straight if I can fix it.

STEP 2

One price, in writing

A short write-up and one price before you pay anything. No hourly meter. If I can't build it, no charge.

STEP 3

Built around what you use

Your job-management app and phones stay. The new tool works next to them, so nobody learns a new system.

STEP 4

You approve every message

You read and okay the wording before the tool sends anything, and you can change it any time.

STEP 5

You own it

It's yours outright. It keeps working whether or not we ever talk again.

STEP 6

Up and running

Most tools are working in 2 to 4 weeks from your yes. I'm a phone call away if something needs a change.

Remote or in person, same price. I'm based in Mason City, Iowa. If your shop is in North Iowa, I'll come sit at your desk. Anywhere else, we do it over a screen share: you see what I see, and you're talking to me the whole time, not a team you never meet.

Straight answers

Questions flooring, window and paint shops ask

Will the ballpark scare people off?

It uses your prices and says “ballpark” until you've measured. People who can't afford the job find out before you drive out, which saves you the trip.

Does my team have to type every order update?

No. Each update is one tap, like “arrived” or “install scheduled.” You set the wording once.

Do I have to switch job software?

No. Your job software stays. If you moved up a plan only for follow-ups or texting, we'll look at whether you still need it.

Do you only work with flooring, window and paint shops in Iowa?

No. If you're in North Iowa, I'll come to you. Everywhere else, we work over a screen share, which is how most software gets built anyway. Your zip code doesn't change the price.

What does it cost?

It depends on what your shop needs, so I don't post prices. The walkthrough is free and ends with one price in writing. A one-time tool is a one-time price, and if I can't build it, there's no charge. Texting and hosting have a small monthly bill in your own name, and I'll show you that number up front too.

Let's talk

Tell me what's eating your time.

One free call, or a free 2-minute video of what this would look like in your flooring, window or paint shop. If there's nothing worth building, I'll tell you that too.
